VAULT CONSULTING 25: EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST, AND AFRICA (EMEA)
Bain & Company continued to dominate Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) – and it wasn’t even close!
Here, Bain averaged a 9.219 score from its consultants. That’s nearly .020 of a point higher than the previous year. More to the point, it was .759 of a point higher than runner-up Roland Berger, whose score also improved by nearly the same amount as Bain. Oliver Wyman, OC&C Strategy Consultants, and Kearney rounded out the Top 5 in that order, while NERA Economic Consultants made the splashiest debut in Europe at 9th.
Like the Asia-Pacific, Bain lags behind both McKinsey and BCG when it comes to Prestige. Similarly, Bain outperformed all rival firms in Quality of Work and Life Measures in Europe, with the exception of Roland Berger (Compensation) and Level of Challenge (Grant Thornton Stax).
However, Europe tended to be more diverse when it comes to the top consulting firms in various practice areas. McKinsey was the top vote-getter in just five areas, edging out BCG (4) and Accenture (3). Unlike Asia, where Bain achieved the highest scores across all five Diversity and Inclusion measures, Roland Berger outpointed Bain in both the LGBTQ+ and Disabilities categories.
